The
Beatles "APPLE" Cultural Center - London As a member of the designing group "The Fool", Marijke created the murals, architectural details, artprints and clothing on sale at Apple.The name "The Fool" is symbolic of the number "0" in the kaballistic Tarot, which represents the Cosmic Egg, whence come all things. Zero is also a symbol of the absence of substance, quantity or mass. Thus it denotes absolute freedom from every limitation. It is a sign of the Infinite and Eternal Conscious Energy, itself nothing, though manifested in everything. It is that which was, is and shall be forever. |

Eric Clapton's painted Gibson SG Guitar. Producer Robert Stigwood commissioned Marijke to paint the instruments of Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker as well as design their costumes and graphic promotional material for their first tour of the U.S.A. This guitar has been on display in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. |

"Aquarius Theatre"
during the Los Angeles run of "HAIR" ...."HAIR", produced by Michael Butler. As a member of "The Fool", Marijke created what was at the time the largest mural in the world. It took two months to complete with the help of several Los Angeles art students. Other theaters where "HAIR" played were also decorated, "The Shubert" in Chicago, "The Geary" in San Francisco and "The Vestpocket" in Seattle. |
