Marijke's unique talents find expression in a diverse use of media, including oil paintings, watercolors and gouaches. Her distinctive work has had an easily discernable influence on other contemporary artists and designers, and has attracted the patronage of many international celebrities including Prince Alphonso of Hohenloe, The Beatles, Graham Nash, The Cream, Michael Butler, Billie D. Williams, the Hon. Mrs. Thomas Bradley, and others.

In addition to her fine art commissions and exhibitions Marijke recorded three record albums, created costumes for musical groups, designed sets for movies, fashion lines, fabric prints and more. Her endeavors include a permanent exhibit at the South-West Museum in Highland Park, illustrations for "The Book of Knowledge" by Prof. J.J.Hurtak, participation in a documentary on Dr. Helen Caldecott, a mural in celebration of the 80 year jubilee of the Polytechnic School in Pasadena and the sets for "Karaoke Fest '95" at the Hollywood Palladium. Recently her paintings were exhibited at the Pacifica Asia Museum in Pasadena. Marijke lives with her husband in Los Angeles, California.
